Conceptual Design
From Scientific Requirements to Mechanical Concepts
How to capture complex needs and transform them into coherent mechanical concepts combining various constraints, both technical and non-technical?
We accompany our users from the definition of scientific requirements to the realisation of the mechanical concepts following a process based on the following pillars.

01. Understanding Requirements
- Functional analysis and translation of user needs
- Interfaces definition and operational boundaries
- Feasibility and safety pre-assessments
- Collection of long time expertise in an internal Engineering Handbook
02. Concept Generation
- Preliminary geometry and layout proposals
- Static/dynamic analyses for concept validation
- Trade-off studies (performance vs cost vs manufacturability)

03. Collaboration & Review
- Concept reviews with accelerator and experiment teams
- Iterative approach ensuring agreement among stakeholders
- Close collaboration with MechLab, Engineering Unit and Manufacturing teams.
